Chapter III | Turning Point. “Rain”

The next day, Saturday, I spent the entire day at the Inuzuka household having an intense study session with Hibari-san, just the two of us.

Here, we repeatedly went over the practice questions Hibari-san had prepared. The girls weren’t allowed to step into the room at all, so it seemed like they spent the time in Himari’s room, teaching her how to handle the behind-the-scenes work for you.

……When I introduced Enomoto-san as part of my accessory sales team, Hibari-san reluctantly let him into the mansion. Thanks to that, the intensity of my study session got a bit more brutal.

Then, on Sunday, I went to school and took the makeup exam.

The grading was done that same day.

When the guidance counselor saw my answer sheets for all five subjects, their eyes nearly popped out of their head.

“If you can get a perfect score on the makeup exam, then you should’ve been serious from the start!!”

“I’M SORRY…!!”

……Whether I passed or failed, I still got scolded. Isn’t that a little too unfair?

Seriously, it was all thanks to Hibari-san’s practice questions hitting the mark perfectly. During the exam, I kept thinking, “Ah, I saw this at Hibari’s cram school!” ……That person might really be able to see the future or something.

“Ahhh…… I’m exhausted!”

As I left the school, I stretched toward the overcast sky. From the field, I could hear the voices of the sports clubs practicing hard outdoors. The sports clubs’ regional preliminaries were starting next month.

I could finally focus on making accessories again.

What kind of accessory should I make next? I’ve already harvested all the flowers I was growing on campus, so I’m starting completely from scratch.

As I walked lightly toward the bike parking area, it started to drizzle.

Soon, it turned into a heavy downpour. I held out my palm to the rain and thought vaguely.

……Come to think of it, the day I repaired Enomoto-san’s moonflower accessory, it suddenly started raining on my way home too.
