Chapter 1:

“You have fulfilled your duty, Yorichi.”

The voice was deep, calm—carrying a power beyond words.

It paused for a moment before continuing:

“You bore a burden no one else could endure. Now… it is time to rest.”

He stood there, his soul suspended between two worlds, silent as he had always been in life.

But before closing his eyes forever, he asked in a faint voice,

“What about my brother…?”

The voice fell silent, as if the entire universe had paused alongside it.

Then the answer came, quiet and heavy with sorrow:

“He chose a different path… He became a demon after your death. But in the end, he was defeated—by those who came after you.”

The man closed his eyes slowly.

There was no anger, no pain… only a deep and peaceful stillness.

“Rest now… and live a life without regret.”

The Birth of Hwan

He was born again in another world… the world of Murim.

In a small village surrounded by mountains and rivers, the child Hwan came into the world, born to an ordinary family.

They were poor farmers, but their hearts swelled with joy the day this child arrived.

And at the moment of his birth, the midwife noticed something strange…

Upon the infant’s forehead, a small mark appeared—shaped like the sun.

But after a brief moment, it vanished, as though it had never been there.

No one saw it again.

The early days of Hwan’s life passed quietly.

He was different from other babies—rarely crying, his gaze often lifted toward the sky, as if searching for something… or remembering a dream whose meaning he had long forgotten.

The memories of his previous life were fading, dissolving like mist at dawn.

All that remained was a quiet feeling deep within his heart—an instinct for purity, clarity, and a longing to live without repeating the past he wished to leave behind.

A Simple Childhood

Hwan grew up among the simple folk of his village.

He helped his father in the fields, fetched water from the river, and always wore a gentle smile, even in exhaustion.

Unlike other children, he was quiet and obedient—his eyes holding a depth none could explain.

He knew nothing of Murim, nor the martial arts world, where pride and bloodshed ruled the land.

He lived a simple life… and for him, that was enough.

The Meeting with Old Han Sin

One day, when Hwan had reached his tenth year, he went as usual into the forest to gather firewood.

The sun was high in the sky, and the wind whispered through the trees, when he noticed someone sitting beneath the shade of a great tree.

An old man.

His hair was white as snow, his robes plain and grey. His eyes were closed, as if lost in sleep.

Hwan approached quietly, then bowed respectfully.

“Grandfather… do you need anything?”

The old man opened one eye and studied him for a long moment.

In his gaze shimmered something strange—an unspoken knowledge, as though he could read the boy’s very soul.

Then he spoke, his voice rough yet gentle,

“No, my child… I need nothing.”

But Hwan did not leave.

Instead, he sat beside him and pulled out an old piece of bread from his small satchel, offering it with both hands.

“If you’re hungry… you can have this.”

The old man said nothing.

He took the bread quietly and, for the first time in many years, smiled.

Hwan returned to his village as if nothing had happened.

But the old man, once known as “The Silent Wind,” began to watch him from afar each day.

He saw the boy working hard in the fields, helping the poor, laughing with honest joy, and living without greed or a thirst for power.

And for the first time in many years, Han Sin felt hope…

Hope that the true spirit of martial arts might return once more—pure and untainted.

The First Step

One night, as they sat together by the fire, Old Han Sin spoke, his deep voice breaking the silence.

“Boy… have you ever thought of becoming strong?”

Hwan paused.

He stared into the dancing flames, then answered softly,

“If strength means I can protect those I love… then I don’t mind.”

The old man smiled, as if that was the answer he had been waiting for all along.

“Then… I will teach you.”

He “Yorichi in Murim”

After Muzan was defeated, Yorichi’s soul finally found peace… only to be reborn in another world—a world ruled by martial strength and the sword. The world of Murim.

Yorichi Tsugikuni, the greatest swordsman to ever walk the earth, had devoted his entire life to fighting evil and saving others. After his final battle, where the story of demons came to an end, everyone believed his soul would at last find eternal rest.

But fate had something else in store for him…

At the moment he closed his eyes for the last time, he found himself crossing a river of light, as if a new sun was being born within his heart.

When he opened his eyes once more, he was no longer in the world he had left behind.

He awoke in a land where power ruled all, where sects and clans fought endlessly for dominance.

A world where the weak held no place, and the strong shaped the laws with the edge of their blades.

He was reborn as Hwan, in a humble village nestled among mountains and rivers.

But something remained within him… a distant memory of the Sun Breathing, and a promise he once made—to never allow darkness to consume the world again.

And so, in the world of Murim, where ruthless martial arts sects vie for supremacy, Yorichi’s journey begins anew.

But this time, he is no longer a demon slayer…

He is a warrior seeking to restore purity to the martial world, and to become the new sun that will illuminate this dark age.told him nothing of his past, nor of the world that surrounded them.

He began from the simplest of things—how to breathe slowly, how to feel the earth beneath his feet, how to hear the beat of his own heart in the stillness.

And so, Hwan began his training, quietly and far from watchful eyes.

As the remnants of his old life faded away, his soul embarked on a new journey—one free of burdens and past regrets.

It was the beginning… of a new sun.
